Every profession faces lot of challenges in this fastmoving high-tech world, and nursing is no exception. Over the past years, nursing has witnessed tremendous and robust changes to lead along the corridors of success and quality patient care. College of Nursing, Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore is known to be the pioneer of nursing education, service and excellence. Globally and extensively, we stand as stakeholders and stewards of health care.

During the past years, College of Nursing had seen many achievements and we are proud of its various achievements. I share the joy along with my colleagues at College of Nursing as we embark on the Golden Jubilee celebrations of M.Sc Nursing Program and the Silver Jubilee of the Ph.D Nursing Program.

The MSN graduates and the Doctoral faculty function as exemplary and responsible citizens of our country and at the global level. We are proud of them. They continue to contribute enormously as bedside nurses, nurse managers, clinical nurse specialists, nurse practitioners, nurse leaders, nurse educationists and nurse researchers to the health care delivery system of India and at global level upholding the values and ethos of the alma mater.

In health care, it is believed that collaborative efforts yield better health services and outcomes of the populations that are served. Collaboration can be a significant catalyst to positive advancement in research as it allows access to resources so that more complex and perhaps more meaningful investigation may be possible. Being a WHO Collaborating Centre for Nursing and Midwifery, the College strives for global network and in collaborative, interprofessional research and educational exchange programs.

Technology can never be a substitute for the excellence of the human mind and spirit. Let us continue to learn to think, reflect, relate ideas and reasons. Let all the information and knowledge we seek lead us further to apply our minds to wisdom. Integration of nursing education and service is a unique model set by our predecessors is valued and cherished by our faculty and the credit goes to our pioneers.

College of Nursing was and is a pivotal influence in many nurses' life especially during the difficult challenging times of today due to COVID pandemic. By every measure, we have turned out to be the “best of its kind” college in the country being pioneers of nursing education and service.

We have strived through the years to live by the vision of our institution- excellence in education, service and research. This has roofed our college through the journey of this Golden Jubilee of the M.Sc Nursing program and the Silver Jubilee of the Ph.D program and helped to embark a new milestone.

We humbly acknowledge that through the corridors of hard work, passion, perseverance, patience on which our whole system and the illustrious history of nursing education stands.

All glory and honour to our God Almighty.
